As a breeder of Scotties I can relate to this article. I have a lot of families
that contact me and dont understand the wheaten color in Scotties. Thy think that Scotties are only black because that’s all that is publicized in the media.

I’m glad you made this post. We have always received questions about our wheaten Lollie. Most commonly people assume she is a Westie, and are surprised when we tell them she is a wheaten. One thing people should be aware of is that not all wheatens are the same. In the AKC registry, accepted colorations include silver wheatens, and red wheatens. The reds, have more of a tawny, golden hue to them whereas the silver is a pure white. Our Lollie is a silver and literally shimmers in the sun light. In the end it’s a personal preference thing, but People should be aware that there are alternatives.

I loved the puppies. Sorry for my bad english, but i’ve been participating of many conversations about this splendid terrier breed. I have a ST BLACK BRINDLE, named Mr. Spock and i’d like to talk about some tips, grooming, training, etc…
